Taylor Crews, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 15 years of experience in mental health care, including more than a decade in advanced practice. She specializes in the treatment of a broad range of mental health conditions and complex psychosocial challenges across the lifespan. Taylor practices with a holistic, integrative approach—addressing not only psychiatric symptoms but also the underlying biological, psychological, and social factors that impact mental wellness.
Taylor earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, magna cum laude, from Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin, with a minor in psychology. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of South Alabama, graduating cum laude as a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. Her strong nursing foundation informs a compassionate, patient-centered care style rooted in understanding and collaboration.
Throughout her career, Taylor has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, community mental health programs, inpatient hospitals, and long-term care facilities. She is skilled in advanced medication management, including complex prescribing and deprescribing practices, and incorporates supportive psychotherapy, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and psychoeducation into treatment. While brief therapeutic support is a meaningful part of her visits, she often encourages patients to pursue ongoing psychotherapy for deeper, sustained progress.
Taylor is also deeply committed to reducing mental health stigma and improving access to care. She has served on the board of the Lowcountry Mental Health Conference for five years and presents at community education forums. Her goal is to empower individuals on their mental health journey through compassionate care, collaboration, and evidence-based treatment.
