Katelyn Zerbst is a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in the evaluation and treatment of psychiatric conditions across the lifespan.
Katelyn began her healthcare career in medical-surgical nursing, where she practiced for nearly five years and developed a strong foundation in caring for medically complex patients. She later worked as a nurse practitioner in primary care before transitioning to psychiatry in 2023. With nearly a decade of healthcare experience spanning medical-surgical, family medicine, and psychiatric practice, she brings a comprehensive medical perspective to mental health care.
Her work in psychiatry deepened her commitment to the field and ultimately led her to pursue formal certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Katelyn has developed a strong professional passion for mental health care, finding fulfillment in helping patients navigate conditions that impact both emotional well-being and daily functioning.
Katelyn has extensive clinical experience providing intramuscular ketamine therapy and esketamine (Spravato®) for treatment-resistant depression. Her clinical interests also include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and ADHD.
Katelyn provides compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care focused on accurate diagnosis, thoughtful medication management, and individualized treatment planning. She believes that healthy lifestyle practices — including sleep, physical activity, nutrition, social connection, and spiritual well-being — are essential components of psychiatric care.
Katelyn is committed to creating a supportive and collaborative environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their treatment journey. She welcomes the opportunity to work with patients managing complex or treatment-resistant symptoms, using evidence-based medical treatment alongside lifestyle and wellness strategies to support overall mental health and quality of life.
