Dr. Jameson Snead received his medical degree from one of the top medical schools in the country, Brown University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Brown as well. He completed his psychiatry residency training at MUSC, where he served as chief resident.
Dr. Snead employs a multimodal approach to treating patients, emphasizing the importance of skills learned through therapy, medications as needed, and lifestyle changes. His clinical interests including addiction treatment, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR).
He strives to create a therapeutic relationship with his patients, when they feel their concerns are addressed in a empathetic and nonjudgmental manner.
